Local media literacy educator and mom, Suzie McCoy, will lead group meetings and discussions on this timely book which is perhaps more aptly titled, How to Have a More Mindful Relationship with Your Phone.
Is your phone the first thing you reach for in the morning and the last thing you touch before bed? Do you frequently pick it up “just to check,” only to look up forty-five minutes later wondering where the time has gone? Do you say you want to spend less time on your phone, but have no idea how to do so without giving it up completely? If so, you're not alone!
We’ll discover how phones and apps are designed to be addictive, and learn how the time we spend on them damages our abilities to focus, think deeply, and form new memories. We’ll then make customized changes to settings, apps, environment, and our mindset that will ultimately enable us to take back control of our lives. Please join us and feel good about your phone!
Please email Jill or call 802-482-2878 to sign up for the group. The library can provide a limited number of books. Sign up early to borrow a copy.
If you are interested in joining this group, please plan to read Part 1: The Wake Up prior to the first meeting. The group meets at 6:30 pm on both October 9th and November 13th.
