The Friends of the Carpenter-Carse Library won't be hosting their usual Garden Tour this summer -- but, fear not, as they will be offering gardening programming to keep the community of green thumbs going! Gardeners of any level are welcome to join in on informal Saturday morning “garden gatherings,” hosted at a local community member's home and garden, where attendees can chat and ask questions to learn from one another.
On Saturday, May 21, from 9 am - 10:30 am, the gathering will take place at a perennial garden, at the home of Anne Donegan.
This is free and open to the public, however as there is limited space, registering in advance is required. This can be done by completing this brief RSVP form or by stopping in or calling the library's main desk. Should interest exceed capacity, a waitlist will be formed.
Those who have signed up will meet at the library at 9 am, and attendees will carpool over to the residence. And please dress for the weather — it will be taking place rain or shine!
(A second gathering is planned for June; find more details here.)
