Movie Night: Alfred Hitchcock's "Rear Window"

A perfect follow-up to the Vermont Humanities talk on “Hitchcock and the Art of Suspense” that we’re hosting earlier in the week, join us for a Friday night movie that leans into the thrills in the air as Halloween approaches. The plan is to host a crisp fall evening outdoor showing* of Alfred Hitchcock’s 1954 classic thriller Rear Window, starring James Stewart and Grace Kelly (runtime of 112 minutes, rated PG, ©Universal Studios).

Bring some cozy seating and/or blankets for the fall chill, while we provide some popcorn and the film itself and settle in for a suspenseful ride to kick off the weekend.

Please email meg@carpentercarse.org to register for this movie night (a headcount is especially helpful when trying to plan for snacks) and if you have any questions/requests related to accessibility for participation.

*This is, of course, weather permitting — as we know fall in Vermont can take some temperature swings; it can be moved indoors if needed, following the mask protocol currently in place at the library. Please register in order to receive necessary updates (and also check back here for the latest).
