COVID-19 Virus Precautions

After 3 PM on March 17, Carpenter-Carse Library will close to the public.

We are closing until Monday, June 1 to ensure the safety of our community and our staff.

We encourage you to contact us if you need reading material or DVDs but don’t want to come to the library. We can deliver materials to you at your home, or we can meet you in the parking lot if you don’t want to come into the library. As long as they are not interlibrary loans, we encourage you to take your time with materials if you don’t want to come back to the library, or to use the dropbox outside to return them. Call us and leave a message 482-2878 or email us at library@carpentercarse.org

The New York Academy of Sciences presented a great program which is summarized here. The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention have great tips. The most basic advice is, if you aren’t feeling well DON’T GO OUT and WASH YOUR HANDS.

Please let us know if you need help accessing digital materials online. For more information on Libby, visit the page on Digital Resources here. There are also a wide variety of lifelong learning resources available on our website, https://www.carpentercarse.org/resources if you are stuck and home and want to use the time to learn new things.

If you need help setting up your digital password for accessing Libby, please contact us during our usual hours or e-mail us and we can let you know how to get started.
