Calling all local writers! Join us for our once a month Community Writers’ Group! All genres welcome. Get your literary juices flowing with creative writing prompts, network with other local wordsmiths, and enjoy a fun, stimulating monthly workshop. Snacks provided. Free and open to the public.
Live Music: Jam with the Song Farmers of Hinesburg
Thursday, September 6th 6 p.m.
Do you play an acoustic instrument or just love to sing along to old time, blues, country, and folk music? Come join the Song Farmers during their monthly jam session and participate in this wonderful live music offering. If you don’t play an instrument, please join us just to listen or to sing-along! Free and open to the public.
Joyful Dance/Movement for Seniors
Saturdays in September, beginning September 1st 10:30-11:30 a.m.
In a fun and playful environment participants will be guided on a movement journey accompanied by a variety of music styles. One’s physical strength, stamina and flexibility will improve along with one’s mental and spiritual well being. In other words, moving just feels good. This class welcomes all body types and abilities. No prior dance experience is necessary.

Family Movie: A Wrinkle in Time
Friday, September 7th 6:30 p.m.
Join us for this recently released science fantasy adventure film about a girl on a quest to find her missing father. Movie starts at 6:30. Come a bit early to do a craft! Snacks will be served.
Author Visit: Megan Price
Friday, September 21st 4 p.m.
Megan Price, author of the popular Vermont Wild, Adventures of Vermont Fish and Game Wardens, series will visit Carpenter-Carse to share the "stories behind the stories" of her latest volume of true and humorous tales.
Join us and have Megan personalize a copy of Vermont Wild for the hunter or wildlife enthusiast in your life.
Megan Price has worked as an award-winning reporter, state legislator, corporate paralegal, publicist, advocate, marketing consultant and business owner. Megan is busy meeting with wardens, choosing and writing stories to be included in future volumes of Vermont Wild.
Color Your Way to Calm: Adult Coloring
Saturday, September 29th 1:00-2:30 p.m.
Color your way to calm at our drop-in coloring club for adults. Coloring sheets, art supplies, and tea will be provided.
Hinesburg Town Forest Field Trip
Saturday, September 29th 1-3 p.m.
Please join Chittenden County Forester Ethan Tapper and members of the Town Forest Committee for a walk and talk in the Hinesburg Town Forest. This is a great opportunity to find out exactly what will happen during the management of the HTF as well as the reasoning behind the plan- the long-term health of the forest ecosystem.
The walk will begin 1 p.m. at the trailhead at Economou Road.
