Set reading goals for the new year? Consider joining a CCL book discussion group!

Welcome to 2022! If you were hoping this year to read more — or expand beyond your usual fare — just a reminder that we have two ongoing discussion groups here at Carpenter-Carse Library that are always welcoming new members to monthly meetings. Programming librarian Meg Malone facilitates the discussions, but they remain very flexible in terms of having a chance to talk about what resonated (or didn’t!) with the group that month.

  • The mystery book group meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 10:30 a.m.

  • The evening book group cycles through different formats and genres, and meets on the last Tuesday of the month at 7 pm.

And, there’s now with a nice new web page to let you know more about the discussion groups, including upcoming dates/selections and also a look back on past titles should you be interested in diving into the archives.

If you have any questions, or are interested in joining a discussion — whether for a single meeting to talk about a specific title, or on a more consistent basis — email meg@carpentercarse.org for details about the meetings and/or to request a copy of an upcoming selection.
