June Adult Programs

We know it is hard to tear yourself away from all that the outdoors has to offer, but we would love it if you could join us in June for one or more of these great programs.  All are free and open to the public.  Hope to see you here!

 

Live Music:  Song Farmers of Hinesburg- Thursday, June 7th, 6 pm. Do you play an acoustic instrument or just love to sing along to old time, blues, country, and folk music?  Come join the Song Farmers during their monthly jam session and participate in this wonderful live music offering.  All ages and abilities welcome!  You can even just come to listen and enjoy the music. 

 

Adult Drop-in Coloring Club- Saturday, June 9th, 1-2:30 pm.  Color your way to calm at our drop-in coloring club for adults. Coloring sheets, art supplies, and tea will be provided.

 

Woof!  What’s the Dog Saying?- Tuesday, June 12th, 7 pm. Learn all about how dogs communicate and what they say with their bodies. This popular, long-running lecture is a multi-media extravaganza of fun. We’ll demystify dog communication and explore how we can all live safely and happily together. At the end of the presentation, the audience gets a chance to practice reading dog body language through several engaging exercises.  Presented by Gold Star Dog Training, LLC.  Registration required- call the library or email to register.

 

Author Visit: Meg Little Reilly-Wednesday, June 20th, 7 pm.  Join us as we welcome Hinesburg’s own Meg Little Reilly, author of the new novel Everything That Follows.  Meg will be signing books for purchase, offered at 10% discount by Flying Pig Bookstore in Shelburne.  A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Carpenter-Carse Library.

 

Solstice Celebration-Thursday, June 21st, 2:30-5:00 pmCome celebrate the solstice with us. We’ll plant flowers, make musical instruments and children can sign up for Summer Reading Programs.  With pizza from NOFA-VT's Mobile Pizza Oven, and music from Mayfly! This event is for all ages, and children need to be accompanied by an adult. Families are invited to come and participate together.
